From July 25th took the weekend off from racing myself to go full crew chief mode for a friend at Road America!
Dad's 60th Birthday Gift
I wanted to make a special gift for my dad's 60th birthday, I thought initally of having an art piece made but then I remembered I have a welder and bunch of spare parts. So I unleashed my full DIY and creativity and used an old rotor and some broken cam shafts with a cool clock I found online to make a Clock/trophy for his workshop. I removed the rust and welded it together than coated it with clear coat to lock in the patinia. Super happy how it came out.
Taking Back Control of My Data
It feels incredibly rewarding to host this feed from my own home server. No algorithms sorting my day, no trackers following my family, and no random interface updates. Just a clean static folder served over my own network. In the coming weeks, I'll write about the server configuration I used to set this up safely.
